You go to Prom tonight?

I got a mani/pedi yesterday because it's spring, and well I wanted one.  


I really had issues understanding the lady giving me my manicure and pedicure, so I played on my phone to avoid awkward small talk of me not understanding.  She spoke to the other workers in their non-english language instead.  It always makes me feel like they are making fun of me.  I imagine they discussed why I still bite my nails.  A few years ago, one lady informed me "you'll never get husband if you don't stop biting nails"   Maybe she's right.  After all, I'm still single, and I still continue to bite my nails.  That's the obvious reason why i'm single...


During my manicure, the lady helped me pick out some light colored polish (let's be honest, after a week of not biting my nails, i'll totally start biting them again in a few days).  After she spoke to her co-workers (about what I assume how poor my nails look), she asked me, "you go to prom tonight, yes?"


I'll be 25 next month, so should I be flattered that I look 16 or 17?  I informed her no that I was not going to prom, but I just needed this.  She agreed and then went back to chattering to her co-workers.  Probably how I didn't have a date to prom because I bite my nails.
